I spent twenty-five years in agencies, and the first months of every SEO retainer looked the same: audits, keyword research, strategy decks, revisions. Senior people, billed by the hour, before a single page improved. That work and its execution were slow, repeated by hand for every client, and paid for by the one person who could least afford it: the owner of a small business. So we stopped selling hours and built software to do the planning and the building.
